My husband has Parkinson's Disease and is 65 years old. Our house is very dated with narrow doors, bathrooms, and hall, too small for a walker or wheelchair. We also need commode and shower facilities to accomodate the disabled. Is there some type of grant or low-interest loan available to assist in remodeling our home to accomodate his physical condition? We are looking at approximately $20,000.00 to complete our needs.
